Stanton falls at home to Crofton

The Stanton Football Team fell 29-13 at home to Crofton Friday night.

The game was tied at 7 at the end of one, and the Warriors led 14-13 at halftime.

Crofton blanked the Mustangs 9-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 23-13 at the end of three.

The Warriors shutout Crofton 6-0 in the 4th quarter.

Parker Krusemark was 6-14 passing for 93 yards. Brennan Wragge hauled in 4 passes for 73 yards.

Gage Tighe had 90 yards rushing on 10 carries.

Krusemark made 12 tackles while Jordan Gartner and Ben Wilke each had 10. Tighe and Issiah Borgmann notched 9 apiece while Jason Claussen and Mason Bruggeman each made 8. Devyn Farrier contributed 7.

Stanton amassed 217 yards of total offense, including 124 rushing.

Another tough defeat for the Mustangs, especially since they were right there at halftime.

Stanton (1-5) travels to Ponca (0-6) to take on the Indians Friday night.

Ponca lost 41-6 at home to Battle Creek last week.

This game reminds me a lot of the Crofton game last year.

The Warriors were winless, but knocked off the Mustangs.

Not saying the Indians will beat Stanton, but they could.

The Mustangs have to come ready to play a great and amazing game Friday night.

Stanton has to finish offensively in the second half against Ponca if they're in a good position to do so.

The Mustangs have to be very frustrated with the result of last week's game, but this week is a new chance and opportunity.

Stanton has to take their frustrations out on the Indians, and come away with the win.

The Indians' offense has been dreadful this year, especially in their last three games.

I could see this game being like 7-6 or 10-7 or something of that nature.

It figures to be a dogfight, and a game the Mustangs would sure love to get.

It doesn't matter how it happens either just as long as Stanton wins.

The Mustangs would ideally like to put up some points and hold Ponca on defense, and win something like 20-7.

That could definitely happen too, and that would be a good and solid win for Stanton.

The Mustangs have a lot of work to do in practice yet on Thursday and lots of things to do and execute during the game if they want to win though.

Stanton has to go up there confident and fired up that they can win because they definitely can.

The Mustangs have to expect to win, and must go up there and seal the deal Friday night.

Stanton probably won't play beyond October 24th, but the Mustangs have to go out there and try and win their three remaining regular season games.
