Logan View/Scribner-Snyder drops home game to Pierce

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Football Team lost 45-13 at home to Pierce Friday night.

The Raiders gave up 431 yards of total offense, including 428 on the ground.

Head Coach Dustin Sealey was proud of the way his team ran and blocked. "I felt like we were able to run the ball pretty well against them. I thought our offensive line just continued to get better. We played probably our best game of the year up front, which was good to see. It was nice to be able to move the ball on the ground like we did against a real good team."

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (0-7) plays host to Columbus Scotus (6-1) Friday night in action that will be aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Shamrocks beat arch rival Columbus Lakeview 40-21 at home last week.

Scotus is a very good team, and it's going to take a big time effort from the Raiders to be able to win this one.

Sealey says the Shamrocks are very quick. "I know they're fast. They're fast all around on the perimeter. They're going to try and get the ball to the edge and get us thinking that way. And then try and get us up the middle. Up front offensive and defensive line they're really fast off the ball. That gave us issues a year ago."

As they say speed kills.

I think the Raiders have to counter that with their power though.

LVSS is a very physical, hard nosed, smashmouth football team.

The Raiders need to turn in a great performance to be able to spring the upset and win.

Anything can happen, and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to be optimistic and play well.

The Raiders have to get off to a fast start and build an early lead.

If Logan View/Scribner-Snyder can get an early lead and hang around they might have a chance.

The Raiders have to play the game of their lives, and do everything in their power to win their final home game for the seniors.

I'm sure it would mean so much for LVSS to win their final home game of the season.

The Raiders have to come out and play with a lot of pride Friday night.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to fire off the ball and tackle well.

The Raiders also need to make some plays offensively and get things going that way.

Hopefully it will be a compelling and entertaining ball game because LVSS deserves a win and a great game given everything they've gone through this year.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. with pregame at 6:30 on the Bull.
