Pender routs Cedar Bluffs

The Pender Football Team routed Cedar Bluffs 76-16 at home Friday night.

The Pendragons led 14-0 at the end of one and 56-0 at halftime.

Pender won the 3rd quarter 14-8 to lead 70-8 at the end of three.

The Wildcats won the 4th quarter 8-6.

Dylan Vogt had 19 carries for 160 yards and 8 touchdowns. Jaxon Mrsny carried the ball 5 times for 72 yards, and scored once.

Jacob Bruns made 10 tackles.

The Pendragons had 309 yards of total offense, including 275 rushing.

Good, dominant, and much needed win for Pender.

The Pendragons (2-3) host Mead (3-2) Friday night.

The Raiders won 20-6 at home over Emerson-Hubbard last week.

This is a must win for Pender if they are to have any hope of winning the District.

The Pendragons have to hope for a win and a Mead win over Clarkson/Leigh next week to create a three-way tie if there is one.

This is also a must win Pender if they are to have any hope and shot of making the playoffs.

The Pendragons probably need to win out to make the playoffs, but they can definitely do that.

This is also the last home game of the season for Pender so the Pendragons have to win this one for their seniors.

Pender is definitely capable of winning their final three regular season games and making the playoffs, in my opinion.

The Pendragons just simply have to go out there and make it happen.

Pender has to take the fight to Mead for four quarters, and give the Raiders no chance to win at all.

Vogt and Mrsny have to run the ball well and Caleb Trimble has to do his thing as well.

The Pendragons need to turn in a great performance and play good defense also.

Pender has to come out and play electric and lights out football.

The Pendragons have to impress and electrify the crowd.

Pender needs to play at a high level on both sides of the ball, and take it to Mead for four quarters.

The Pendragons need to play great football for 48 minutes, and put forth their best effort Friday night.

Pender has to play with a sense of urgency and purpose, and as if their season is on the line because well, it is.

Pender just has to play well and at a high level and be on top of their game Friday night.

The Pendragons can't afford to struggle or have an off game because if they do it could prove to be costly.

Lose and there is likely no playoffs....win and your playoff chances are still alive and intact.
