Winnebago ends year with loss to GACC
The Winnebago Football Team lost 80-16 at GACC Friday night to end the season.
Tough loss for the Indians no doubt about it.
Winnebago's season ends at 1-7.
Difficult year for the Indians. I'm sure Winnebago had very high aspirations coming in.
Things just didn't materialize for the Indians like they had hoped.
I think the game winning field goal Pender hit in the opener kind of set the tone in the wrong direction for Winnebago.
The Indians say goodbye to Ed Payer, Jeriah Greyowl, Lourde Kearnes, Robbie Lovejoy, Jeremy Bear, Ricky Suarez, and Ronald Painter.
Some talented seniors lost for sure.
Key returners for next year include Javon Price, Raul Loera, and BJ Proctor.
It will be interesting to see who steps up and plays big roles for Winnebago next season.
The Indians have to work really hard in the offseason in the weightroom and on the field.
Winnebago's returning players and newcomers have to wake up excited and anxious to tackle each and every day during the summer.
Getting up and playing ball and lifting weights and running are all important for the Indians.
The only way you can be successful at something is by working hard, and that's what these boys need to do.
Winnebago has to be the hardest working team out there, and must improve and hone their skills.
The Indians have to be driven to be great each and every day.
Winnebago's players have to make it a goal to be lifter of the year and must max out in every lift they do.
Eating healthy and laying off things like pop and stuff of that sort is all important for a healthy diet as well.
I realize these kids are teenagers and will likely drink pop anyways, but the healthier they eat and drink the more in shape their bodies figure to be in.
The Indians have to really get after it this offseason, and try and get back to where they were prior to this season.
