Emerson-Hubbard beats Omaha Christian Academy

The Emerson-Hubbard Football Team defeated Omaha Christian Academy 78-24 at home Friday night.

Good and much needed win for the Pirates.

Emerson-Hubbard (2-4) hosts Pender (2-4) Friday night.

The Pendragons fell 34-30 at home to Mead last week.

This is a big game for the Pirates if they hope to make the playoffs and have any shot at still winning the District Championship.

You know Pender will really want it bad too as they need two wins to have any short of chance at making the playoffs.

Even then it might not be enough for the Pendragons.

Emerson-Hubbard sits in better position to make the playoffs than Pender does right now, and a win for the Pirates would likely solidify a playoff berth.

Emerson-Hubbard has to be ready to take the Pendragons' best shot and then some Friday night.

The Pirates have to get ready for and expect a hard hitting and physical football game.

Emerson-Hubbard has to be ready to make big plays and create turnovers as well as take care of the ball.

The Pirates have to be physically and mentally tough, and get ready to go full tilt with Pender.

This is a rivalry game too so it should be an exciting one.

It's a game that I could honestly see going either way as I feel it is a complete toss up.

I think things will be high scoring and potentially decided on the last possession of the game.

As much as Emerson-Hubbard struggled at the beginning of the season I feel they're starting to play better Football.

The Pirates are in prime position to make the playoffs just as long as they can win one of their next two games.

A loss to the Pendragons would mean Emerson-Hubbard would likely have to beat Clarkson/Leigh in the regular season finale to get in so the Pirates have to try and seal their and Pender's fate this week if at all possible.

It should be a good game, and I think Emerson-Hubbard's experience and the fact they're at home could make the difference.
