Tekamah-Herman loses at home to Oakland-Craig

The Tekamah-Herman Football Team lost 58-6 at home to Oakland-Craig Friday night.

The Knights led 24-6 at the end of one, and 48-6 at halftime.

Oakland-Craig scored 6 points in each of the 3rd and 4th quarters to make up the final score.

Luke Wakehouse had 17 carries for 116 yards rushing.

Garrison Potadle had 18 tackles while Kody Bitter made 16.

Tekamah-Herman had 131 yards of total offense, including 126 rushing.

Early turnovers killed the Tigers in this one.

Tekamah-Herman (2-3) takes on BRLD (5-0) on the road Friday night.

The Wolverines won 42-27 at Yutan Friday night.

The Tigers have to feel like they would of been right in the game with the Knights if it hadn't been for all the early turnovers.

And Tekamah-Herman has to think they can keep things with respectable with and perhaps even upset BRLD.

The Tigers have done some nice things this year, and I kind of think the Wolverines have been a little sluggish these last couple of games defensively.

So I think there is room and opportunity for Tekamah-Herman to move the ball and score some points on this BRLD defense.

Stopping the BRLD offense is a whole nother story, but if the Tigers can play ball control offense and move the chains and keep the Wolverines' offense off the field then who knows, anything can happen.

I think a defensive game favors Tekamah-Herman with a shootout favoring BRLD.

I think the higher the scoring the more it favors the Wolverines.

But if the Tigers can keep this thing in the 20's or low 30's then who knows....they could win.

Tekamah-Herman just has to go into this game loose and with nothing to lose.

The Tigers shouldn't feel any pressure whatsoever as they really have nothing to lose whatsoever.

Tekamah-Herman has to go in there and execute the triple option and play a flawless game on offense.

On any given Friday night any team can be beat as we saw last year when Tekamah-Herman went on the road and beat Yutan.

Now I will say this BRLD team is a lot better than that Yutan team was, but it's still the point of going on the road and picking up a big win over a team you're not supposed to beat.

No one besides the kids and coaches in the locker room may give the Tigers a chance in this one, but that's okay....all Tekamah-Herman needs is one another.

Go out there and get em Tigers.
