BRLD spanks Crofton

The BRLD Football Team throttled Crofton 48-0 on the road Friday night.

The Wolverines led 8-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, and 28-0 at halftime after outscoring the Warriors 20-0 in the 2nd quarter.

BRLD shutout Crofton 14-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 42-0 at the end of three.

The Wolverines added 6 4th quarter points to make up the final score.

Will Gatzemeyer was 15-22 passing for 277 yards and 4 touchdowns. He added 94 yards rushing on 15 carries, scoring once. Jaxon Johnson brought in 5 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown. Lucas Vogt hauled in 7 passes for 136 yards and 3 scores.

Johnson made 7 tackles.

BRLD amassed 493 yards of total offense, including 299 through the air.

Very dominant performance from the Wolverines. Their most dominant of the season I would say.

BRLD (3-0) hosts powerhouse Norfolk Catholic (2-1) Friday night.

The Knights won 49-20 at home against St. Paul this past Friday night.

Norfolk is a great team with Head Coach Jeff Bellar having the most wins in Nebraska State High School Football History.

You have a former C-1 team going up against two schools who were once 8-man.

It doesn't get any bigger or better than this.

These are the games you play and live for if you are the Wolverines.

It's a chance for BRLD to knock off the very best of the very best.

I think the Wolverines can do it too.

BRLD has some tremendous athletes, and really took it to the Warriors last week.

It honestly would not surprise me if the Wolverines won Friday night.

It should be a very physical, hard nosed, and hard hitting football game.

There figures to be a lot of big hits in this one.

This game is not for the weak or weary, it is for the strong and mighty.

Two of the best teams in C-2 in the area are going to go at it toe for toe Friday night.

It should be an outstanding and well played football game, and I'm really excited to see what BRLD can do against the Knights.

We know the Wolverines can play, but we'll find out just how good BRLD is by how they do against Norfolk Catholic.

You're talking about going up against Football Royalty. The very best when it comes to winning and state championships.

These are the types of programs you want to beat and become, and the opportunity couldn't be any bigger for the Wolverines.

A win over the Knights would take this program to a whole level if it's not already there, in my opinion.
