Winnebago falls at Lutheran High Northeast

The Winnebago Football Team lost 64-26 at Lutheran High Northeast on Friday.

Not the result the Indians were looking for I am sure.

Winnebago (1-1) hosts Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (0-1) Friday night.

The Bears lost 40-16 at home to Randolph on Friday, August 24th.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge could be an at advantage in that they've had an extra week to prepare for the Indians.

This is a matchup of two teams who have 11-man enrollments, and I think this will be a very good battle.

Winnebago's defense has to step up, and the offense has to click the way it has in both games so far.

I don't know what the Bears have for offense, but chances are it's not as explosive as the Eagles'.

LHNE was an 11-man team and is a really good team, and I think the Indians just ran into a buzzsaw in that one.

Winnebago has to come out fired up, pumped, jacked, psyched, and motivated.

The Indians can't let the loss to the Eagles get them down or make them feel like they're not a good team.

So much success was had against Pender, and I think Winnebago can get back to that type of success this week.

I think Laurel-Concord-Coleridge may be better than the Pendragons, but I look for the Indians to win, especially since they are at home.

A win over the Bears would be good momentum heading into the bye week and would set the stage for things against Homer the following week, in my opinion.

Winnebago has to regroup, reorganize, and put last week's performance out of their minds.

It's a new week and a new game, and the Indians have to be solely focused on beating Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.

Winnebago has to tackle well and must create big plays on offense.

Limiting turnovers and penalties while creating chaos in the offensive backfield is also going to be critical for the Indians, in my opinion.

Winnebago has to go out there with the mindset that they are going to beat the Bears, and that there is nothing that is going to stop them from doing so.
