Tekamah-Herman shutout at Oakland-Craig

The Tekamah-Herman Football Team lost 48-0 at Oakland-Craig Friday night.

The Knights led 18-0 at the end of one and shutout the Tigers 15-0 in the 2nd quarter to take a 33-0 lead into the locker room.

Oakland-Craig blanked Tekamah-Herman 15-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 48-0 at the end of three, which ended up being the final score.

Cody Elliot and Gage Drummond each made 11 tackles while Brandon Schram had 8. Garrison Potadle and Tristan Metzger each totaled 7.

The Tigers had just 56 yards of total offense, including 40 through the air.

The Knights tallied 437 yards of total offense, 260 coming on the ground.

Tough night for Tekamah-Herman. Oakland-Craig simply dominated.

The Tigers (1-4) host BRLD (4-1) Friday night in a game that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Wolverines won 36-6 at home over defending C-2 State Champion Yutan last week.

BRLD has been impressive and consistent this season, and has knocked off some top quality programs.

The Wolverines are similar to the Knights in terms of talent and athleticism.

BRLD can play, and Tekamah-Herman has to be ready to give the Wolverines a great, competitive four quarter game.

The Tigers have to be better on both sides of the ball than they were against Oakland-Craig.

Tekamah-Herman has to be more physical, and must fire off the ball and be the low man on the offensive and defensive lines.

The Tigers have to get fired and jacked up for this one, and put last week's struggles behind them.

Tekamah-Herman has to try and slow down BRLD's passing attack, and in particular Will Gatzemeyer, who had 279 yards passing with two touchdowns against the Chieftains.

The Wolverines are a lot like the Knights in that they can throw and run.

BRLD can hurt you in multiple ways, and the Tigers have to be ready for the different dynamics of the Wolverines' offense.

Tekamah-Herman has to avoid giving up big plays and has to tackle well.

The Tigers also have to make some plays on offense and take care of the ball.

I would say creating turnovers is going to be important as well.

I feel a fast start is imperative for Tekamah-Herman.

If the Tigers fall behind 21-0 or something of that nature then it will be very difficult for Tekamah-Herman to come back, in my opinion.

The Tigers have to keep this one close, and must stay within striking distance to have a chance, in my opinion.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the Bull with pregame at 6:30.
