Logan View/Scribner-Snyder loses shootout to Boys Town
The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Football Team lost 36-32 at home to Boys Town Friday night.
The Cowboys led 7-0 at the end of one and 14-6 at halftime after winning the 2nd quarter 7-6.
The Raiders doubled up Boys Town 14-7 in the 3rd quarter to make it a 21-20 game at the end of three.
The Cowboys outscored Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 15-12 in the 4th quarter.
Riley Hoetfelker was 18-35 for 248 yards passing with 3 touchdowns and an interception. Connor Larson hauled in 9 passes for 167 yards and scored twice. Brady Hull caught 6 passes for 53 yards, and scored once, while also racking up 173 yards rushing on 31 carries, and recording a touchdown. Hoetfelker added 50 yards rushing on 5 carries, including a touchdown.
The Raiders rolled up 486 yards of total offense, including 248 through the air.
LVSS played a great game offensively, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough for a win.
The Raiders (0-3) take on Fort Calhoun (0-3) on the road Friday night.
The Pioneers lost 41-6 at Bishop Neumann this past Friday night.
Fort Calhoun has played some very tough competition so far, but hasn't been very competitive in any of the games.
I look for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder to add to the Pioneers' woes, and pick up their first win of the season.
This is a must win for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.
It's pretty much getting to a do or die point for the Raiders in terms of their hopes of making the playoffs.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has started off the season against three very good teams, and now the Raiders are facing a team they should beat.
There's no excuse this time....LVSS has to go out there and take care of business.
The Raiders went toe to toe with and slugged right with Boys Town, and it's that type of mentality Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to play with again against Fort Calhoun.
The Raiders are going to get the Pioneers' best shot, you can bet that, so LVSS has to be ready to counter any blows Fort Calhoun throws their way.
The Raiders have to get out there and play their tails off for 4 quarters.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to put things all together, and take it to the Pioneers for 48 minutes.
The Raiders must win this game there's no other way to put it.
LVSS needs this game badly, and I fully expect the Raiders to play like there is no tomorrow.
Lose, and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder faces a situation where they must win out to make the playoffs.
It could very well be like that now, but a loss to Fort Calhoun would be devastating without a doubt.
The Raiders need this one to gain confidence and feel good about themselves.
The offense started clicking last week so let's see if Logan View/Scribner-Snyder can turn in a good performance offensively and defensively in the same game.
