GACC hammers Omaha Brownell Talbot

The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Football Team put it on Omaha Brownell Talbot in Week 3 on Friday, September 7th, winning 58-6 at home.

The Bluejays held a 44-0 advantage at halftime, scoring 22 points in each of the first two quarters.

GACC outscored the Raiders 14-0 at the end of three, and went up 58-0 at the end of three.

Omaha Brownell Talbot scored 6 points in the final quarter.

Jared Minnick erupted for 357 yards rushing on 16 carries, including 5 touchdowns. Cody Steffen added 55 yards rushing on 4 carries, and scored twice.

Casey Doernemann made 10 tackles while Damon Crawford and Bryan Ortmeier notched 9 apiece. Jadyn Smeal made 8.

The Bluejays amassed 483 yards of total offense, including 429 on the ground.

The defense gave up just 44 yards.

What a great performance from GACC. The Bluejays really took care of business in a big way.

GACC (3-0) hosts Wisner-Pilger (3-0) in a battle of unbeatens in Beemer Friday night.

The Gators annihilated Madison 68-20 at home last week.

Wisner-Pilger is a very good team this year, and must serve notice to the Bluejays.

GACC is going to need to bring their A game against this former 11-man foe.

The Gators are a very talented, athletic, and confident bunch right now.

Wisner-Pilger has made the most of their drop down to 8-man, and has embraced it or so it appears.

The Bluejays are going to need to play extremely well Friday night if they hope to come out on top.

GACC is going to need to play the way they did against Howells-Dodge if not better.

The Gators haven't really been tested so far whereas the Bluejays have though.

GACC is also a veteran laden and experienced team.

One would have to give the Bluejays the edge and advantage seeing as they are at home, but I fully expect this one to be a dog fight.

Jayden Raabe is a beast on the line for Wisner-Pilger, but Doernemann is a great player in his own right for GACC.

There's a lot of talent, skill, and athleticism on these two rosters, and this should be a heck of a ball game Friday night.

I look for the Bluejays to win by 2 or 3 touchdowns, pulling away late.

As good as Wisner-Pilger is, I just have a feeling GACC will be ready and will have a good game plan.

GACC Head Coach Dave Ridder will have these boys ready I don't think there's any doubt about that.

Wisner-Pilger Head Coach A.J. Burki figures to have his guys ready too though so don't expect the Gators to go down without a fight.

It should be a good high school football game between two great teams.

It honestly would not shock me if this isn't the only meeting between the two schools this season.

A playoff rematch isn't out of the question by any stretch of the imagination.
