Logan View/Scribner-Snyder drops home game to North Bend Central
The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Football Team came out on the losing end of a 30-7 score against North Bend Central at home Friday night.
The game was tied at 7 at the end of one before the Tigers blanked the Raiders 7-0, 7-0, and 9-0 over the next three quarters, respectively, leading 14-7 at halftime, and 21-7 at the end of three.
LVSS had 134 yards of total offense, including 117 passing.
The defense gave up 343 yards of offense, 179 coming on the ground.
It's back to the drawing board for LVSS. I'm not sure anyone saw this one coming.
The Raiders (0-2) host Boys Town (0-2) Friday night.
The Cowboys lost 33-13 at home to West Point-Beemer last week.
This is a game between two teams who desperately need a win.
It's also a battle between two squads who aren't used to being in this position.
If you would have told me before the season that Boys Town and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder would both be 0-2 heading into this matchup I would have said you were crazy.
Here we are though....Week 3 and neither one of these teams has a win.
This one is critical for the Raiders if they hope to have any shot at making the playoffs.
Lose and it could be a scenario in which LVSS has to win out just to make the postseason.
I'm sure the playoffs aren't really on the Raiders' mind at the present time though as I'm sure they'd just like a win.
I can't say I know what happened against North Bend Central other than that the score really surprised me.
Not that the Tigers aren't good, because so far they have proven to be a great team, but I fully expected LVSS to make the game close if not win.
The competition only gets tougher from here on out so the Raiders have to regroup and start over.
LVSS has to put last week's performance behind them, and move on to the best of their ability.
The Raiders should honestly be upset and angry by what transpired in last week's game.
I feel LVSS is better than what they showed against North Bend Central, and I'm sure they know that too.
There's going to be some hard hitting in Friday night's game, that's for sure.
The Raiders have to get ready for a very physical battle with Boys Town. The Cowboys are going to hit hard, you can bet on that.
C-1 is big boy football, and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder is going to need to pick things up if they want to avoid starting the season 0-3.
It can be done, but Boys Town is no slouch by any stretch of the imagination.
