BRLD wins at Ponca

The BRLD Football Team won 30-20 at Ponca Friday night.

The Wolverines trailed early, falling behind 8-0 at the end of one, and trailing 14-8 at halftime.

BRLD shutout the Indians 14-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 22-14 at the end of three.

The Wolverines won the 4th quarter 8-6.

Big come from behind win for BRLD. The Wolverines started slow, but came through when it mattered most.

BRLD (2-0) takes on Crofton (0-2) on the road Friday night.

The Warriors lost 39-7 at home to Fremont Bergan last week.

Crofton lost 32-6 at Oakland-Craig the week before, and so it appears the Warriors are having a bit of an off year, but they'll still be tough to beat.

The Wolverines have to be ready to play, and can't go up there thinking they have it won before they even play.

BRLD also can't get caught looking ahead to next Friday's home game against Norfolk Catholic.

I'm sure the Wolverines are absolutely pumped and fired up for that one, but the Knights can wait.

BRLD needs to take care of business against Crofton this week.

The Warriors are the only team the Wolverines should be focused on right now.

BRLD has to come out and turn in a dominating performance....the type of performance that makes a statement prior to the Norfolk Catholic game.

The Wolverines have to put fear in Crofton, and be a team that other teams fear if they aren't one already.

BRLD has to make a statement that shows they are ready to take on the Knights.

The Wolverines have to hit hard and stuff the run.

The Warriors are known for their strong run game as is BRLD.

There figures to be a lot of smashmouth football in this one.

I don't think it's any secret what both teams want to do.

This is a game where the Wolverines need to build a big lead and rest starters some if possible.

BRLD is going to need to be 100% heading into the Norfolk Catholic game, and getting the starters a quarter of rest could go a long ways in upsetting the Knights.

The most important thing and the priority this week is taking care of Crofton in any manner possible, but the Wolverines would just assume blow the Warriors out and get ready for next week.

BRLD simply has to be wary of Crofton and their abilities. The last thing the Wolverines want to do is wake up a sleeping giant.
