Tekamah-Herman doubled up at Stanton
The Tekamah-Herman Football Team competed well, but lost 28-14 at Stanton Friday night.
The Mustangs led 6-0 at the end of one, and won the 2nd quarter 8-6 to take a 14-6 lead into the locker room.
Stanton blanked the Tigers 8-0 in the 3rd quarter to lead 22-6 after three.
Tekamah-Herman won the 4th quarter 8-6.
The Tigers gave up 441 yards of total offense, including 319 rushing.
Tekamah-Herman may have given up a ton of yards, but the Tigers did a nice job of limiting Stanton's trips to the end zone I thought.
Tekamah-Herman (0-2) plays host to Twin River (0-2) Friday night.
The Titans lost 51-0 at home to Battle Creek last week.
I think the Tigers have a good chance to win this one.
If Tekamah-Herman can get more production offensively, and shore some things up in defending the run, I feel the Tigers have a good shot to win.
Tekamah-Herman has competed well in the first two games of the season I feel all things considered, and it wouldn't surprise me to see the Tigers put it all together and pick up their first win of the year against the Titans.
Tekamah-Herman could easily be 2-2 after these next two weeks, and then who knows what can happen after that.
So what I'm saying is the Tigers can't get down on themselves after a couple of tough losses to start the season.
I felt Tekamah-Herman was very competitive in the first two games of the season against teams with high expectations this season.
I don't think it's any secret the Tigers also expect a lot of out themselves this year given the fact they have a lot of seniors and are veteran laden.
This season has a chance to spinball in the right direction in a hurry for Tekamah-Herman if they can win these next couple of games.
The Tigers have to get jacked, fired, and pumped up for this one.
Tekamah-Herman also has to be confident, and must get excited knowing they've got a good chance to win this week.
The Tigers have to put everything they have into this game, and leave things all out on the field.
Tekamah-Herman is making strides this year, and a win Friday night would be a big deal for this program.
The Tigers have to go out there and do everything they can to win.
Tekamah-Herman has to put their best foot forward, and put together an excellent football game and performance Friday night.
