West Point-Beemer shutout at Wahoo
The West Point-Beemer Football Team lost 36-0 at Wahoo Friday night.
The Warriors led 3-0 at the end of one, and blanked the Cadets 13-0 in the 2nd quarter to take a 16-0 lead into the locker room.
Wahoo outscored West Point-Beemer 20-0 to go up 36-0 at the end of three, which was also the final score.
Very tough night for the Cadets on Friday. I think the Warriors showed just how good they really are.
West Point-Beemer (4-1) hosts Boone Central/Newman Grove (3-2) Friday night.
The Cardinals won 45-14 at home over Logan View/Scribner-Snyder last week, and are playing better football now than they were at the beginning of the season.
The two teams have one common opponent so far in Arlington, who the Cadets beat 39-22, and the Cardinals downed 35-6.
This is going to be a very tough game for West Point-Beemer.
The Cadets have to rediscover the magic they had prior to playing against Wahoo.
West Point-Beemer has to forget about what happened last week, and get up for the Cardinals.
BC/NG comes into this game with a lot of confidence no doubt, and will look to put together another stellar performance Friday night.
This should be a great game as there should be a lot of hard hitting.
The Cadets have to rediscover themselves offensively.
West Point-Beemer was totally shutdown by Wahoo last week, and has to get back to doing what they did the first 4 weeks of the season.
The defense also has to step up and be better than it has for much of the season too.
Both of these teams are good, and it should be a really good and entertaining game Friday night.
I look for both squads to really get after one another and make things very competitive.
I think it comes down to who wants it more than who plays the best.
The Cardinals played really well last week while the Cadets really struggled so West Point-Beemer could be up against it this week.
Last week was last week though and the Cadets just have to go out there and play the type of Football they have for most of the season.
It's a new week and West Point-Beemer has to put last week's performance behind them.
Nothing can be done about the Wahoo game now...all the Cadets can do is move forward and get ready to give Boone Central/Newman Grove all they can handle and then some.
West Point-Beemer has to play with Cadet Pride and give the Cardinals their best shot.
