Guardian Angels Central Catholic stomps Pender
The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays defeated Pender 68-18 on the road Friday night.
Tanner Hass had 279 yards rushing on 13 attempts, and scored 7 touchdowns. Nolan Plagge carried the ball 8 times for 51 yards, and scored twice.
Hass made a game-high 16 tackles. Luke Gnad had 10 while Eric Klitz registered 9. Tanner Ortmeier notched 8, and Jordan Peatrowsky totaled 7.
GACC had 400 yards of offense, including 339 rushing.
The defense allowed 295 yards of offense, 192 coming on the ground.
The top ranked Bluejays were as good as advertised Friday night. GACC rolled to the easy win, and made quick work of the Pendragons.
The Bluejays (6-0) host Winnebago (2-4) Friday night.
The Indians defeated Omaha Nation 48-14 last time out.
Winnebago has played well at times this year, but has really struggled at others.
It's hard to know what you're going to get from the Indians.
You know for the most part that you're going to get a great effort from GACC.
The Bluejays have looked like a championship football team since the first week of the season, and their play has been outstanding.
GACC hasn't missed a beat since Week 1, and it has been a very impressive thing to see.
The thing the Bluejays can't afford to have these last two games of the regular season is a letdown.
GACC should roll their final two regular season opponents, but the Bluejays can't come unprepared and not ready to play.
GACC has to respect both opponents, and play with tremendous heart, passion, desire, toughness, and grit.
