North Bend Central loses at home to Columbus Lakeview
The North Bend Central Tigers struggled at home last week, losing 41-15 to Columbus Lakeview Friday night.
North Bend Central no doubt gave it their all, but simply came up short and lost to a superior team.
The Tigers (1-5) host David City (1-4) Friday night.
The Scouts lost 63-7 at home to Wahoo last time out, and much like North Bend Central, has struggled this season.
The Tigers have a great opportunity to pick up a win, in my opinion.
The playoffs are essentially out the window for both teams so at this point it's all about playing for pride.
North Bend Central has to get fired, jacked, and psyched up for this game.
The Tigers have to play with the attitude that this game is theirs, and no one is going to take it from them.
North Bend Central has to be physical at the line of scrimmage, has to take care of the ball, and must force turnovers and catch some breaks.
It's all about the Tigers creating their own momentum, and getting things going that way.
It would be a big deal for North Bend Central to pick up their second win of the season. The Tigers have already proven they are a better team than they were last year, and to get one more win before the season is over would serve as a nice way to go out, at least for the seniors.
That's not to say North Bend Central can't beat Columbus Scotus or Wahoo, but this is the Tigers' last good chance at a win.
This game could very well be the last hurrah for these seniors. Yes there are two games left after this, but they are against top tier competition.
