Oakland-Craig wins by forfeit over Laurel-Concord-Coleridge

Oakland-Craig didn't have to worry about playing Friday night as they defeated Laurel-Concord-Coleridge by forfeit.

You always want to play games, but the positive thing about not playing is the Knights were able to rest up and heal any nagging injuries some of the players might have had.

Oakland-Craig (6-1) hosts Homer (1-6) Friday night.

Homer lost 67-0 at home to Stanton Friday night, and has struggled pretty much all season.

I don't anticipate Oakland-Craig having much trouble with Homer.

You know Oakland-Craig will be hungry, determined, and ready to go given the fact they didn't play last week.

I suspect Oakland-Craig will dominate from start to finish, and win big.

Oakland-Craig should be able to finish the regular season 8-1, but the Knights have to remain focused and keep their eye on the prize.

I'm sure Oakland-Craig would love to win the district title outright, and the only way to do that is to win out.

I'm sure the Knights would like to finish strong and build a good amount of momentum for the postseason.

This Oakland-Craig team is good, and I see them continuing to get better.

Oakland-Craig needs to play at a high level this week and next week as I'm sure both opponents will give them their best shot.
