Tekamah-Herman falls at Yutan

The injury riddled Tekamah-Herman Tigers had another difficult week last week, losing 67-6 at Yutan Friday night.

The Chieftains scored 27 first quarter points and added 33 more in the second quarter to go up 60-0 at halftime. Yutan won the third quarter 7-6. Neither team scored in the fourth quarter.

Tekamah-Herman gave up 344 yards of offense, including 311 rushing.

It was another extremely difficult week for the Tigers. This week doesn't get any easier with a trip to David City Aquinas looming.

Tekamah-Herman (0-6) battles the Monarchs (5-1) on the road Friday night.

Winning is almost out of the question for the Tigers, but all Tekamah-Herman can do is continue to fight and gain varsity experience.

The Tigers have to continue to grow as a team, and get better.

Tekamah-Herman has to do what they can to be competitive in the first half. I'm sure the Tigers would like to be within reasonable striking distance in a game heading into halftime.

This is a difficult situation for Tekamah-Herman. The Tigers are in a really tough spot.

You want to be as optimistic as possible about winning, but sometimes it's just not going to happen.

I could sit here and talk about how anything can happen, etc., and it can, but there's no way Tekamah-Herman is going to beat David City Aquinas on the road given the situation they are in.

The Tigers just have to continue to fight and play hard for four quarters, and attempt to keep things respectable.

Things could definitely get out of hand early, but at the same time I could see Tekamah-Herman making things closer in the first half than they did against Yutan.

With that said, David City Aquinas could definitely reach the 70's or 80's. Hopefully it doesn't come to that for the Tigers, but it very well could.

Tekamah-Herman has to play their hearts out on both sides of the ball and give it their best shot.
