North Bend Central loses at home to David City
The North Bend Central Tigers lost 28-21 in overtime at home to David City Friday night.
It was no doubt a disappointing outcome for North Bend Central, who came oh so close to picking up the victory.
The Tigers (1-6) are at Columbus Scotus (6-1) Friday night.
The Shamrocks are coming off a 31-27 loss at Wahoo last time out, but are still a very, very good team.
North Bend Central has their work cut out for them, there's no doubt about it.
The Tigers need to play well in order to compete with and ultimately upset Columbus Scotus.
A win is going to be pretty tough to pick up, but North Bend Central has to continue to fight and battle these last two weeks of the regular season.
It would be easy to show up unprepared and not be ready to play, but this Tigers' squad can't afford to do that.
North Bend Central has to be better than that, and must play with tremendous heart, pride, and passion Friday night.
No matter what the scoreboard reads, and no matter how unlikely it seems that the Tigers are going to win, North Bend Central can't give up.
Whoever is in the game needs to give 100% effort at all times.
The Tigers have to go hard, and play their best football for 48 minutes.
North Bend Central has to give nothing but their best effort Friday night. The Tigers may not win, but they have to continue to fight and battle no matter what. There cannot be any quit in this team whatsoever.
