Tekamah-Herman falls at David City Aquinas

It was real tough sledding for Tekamah-Herman Friday night as the Tigers lost 78-0 at David City Aquinas.

The Monarchs led 26-0 at the end of one and scored 27 second quarter points to go up 53-0 at halftime.

David City Aquinas added 13 points in the third quarter and 12 in the fourth to make up the final score.

Tekamah-Herman had another rough go of things due to their injury situation. There's just not much the Tigers could do to compete with the Monarchs.

Tekamah-Herman (0-7) hosts Omaha Brownell-Talbot (5-2) Friday night.

The Raiders lost 17-14 to Fremont Bergan last time out, and have lost two in a row after starting the season 5-0.

Omaha Brownell-Talbot is still a good team though, and the Tigers are going to have another difficult time competing I'm afraid.

I'm sure Tekamah-Herman will fight until the very end and give it their all, but it's going to be hard for the Tigers to pick up the victory.

I suspect the game will be closer than the David City Aquinas game was, but it still could very well be a lopsided game.

I think Tekamah-Herman has a chance to put up a couple of scores like they did against Fremont Bergan, but I suspect the Tigers will give up quite a few points defensively.

It's just an unfortunate situation for Tekamah-Herman, but all they can do is work and continue to get better each week.

Every practice and every game is opponent for these kids to gain experience that will no doubt benefit them in the future.
