Scribner-Snyder loses at East Butler

The Scribner-Snyder Trojans fell 78-14 at East Butler Friday night.

The Tigers jumped out to a 32-0 lead at the end of one. East Butler won the second quarter 24-14 to lead 56-14 at halftime.

The Tigers blanked Scribner-Snyder 14-0 in the third quarter to go up 70-14 at the end of three.

East Butler shutout the Trojans 8-0 in the fourth quarter to make up the final score.

Michael Broussard had 61 yards rushing on 17 carries, including a touchdown. Gunner Palmer carried the ball 18 times for 54 yards.

Scribner-Snyder totaled 170 yards of offense, 153 coming on the ground.

The Trojans gave it their all Friday night, but were simply outmatched by a superior East Butler squad.

Scribner-Snyder (2-4) hosts Pender (4-2) Friday night.

The Pendragons are coming off a 68-18 loss at the hands of Guardian Angels Central Catholic.

The Bluejays are for real as the Trojans found out, but Pender is still a good team.

It's going to be awfully difficult for Scribner-Snyder to beat the Pendragons this year, but the Trojans are fighting for their playoff lives so anything can happen.

Broussard, Sims, and Palmer need to have big games for Scribner-Snyder.

The Trojans have to rally around one another, and play as one.

These last two weeks have been very trying for this team, but I'm sure Scribner-Snyder feels they are a better team than what they showed against two outstanding teams in East Butler and GACC.

It's do or die time for the Trojans. Friday night's game is going to either make or break Scribner-Snyder's season.

The Trojans have to want it more than Pender, and their play must reflect that.

A win would be huge for Scribner-Snyder as it would put them in a good position to reach the playoffs.
